At least four people including Afghan soldiers and a woman have been killed in a suicide bomb attack against an army minibus in Kabul.

The toll is likely to rise as more than 20 people were injured according to the government, which said the vehicle had been taking people to work.

The Taliban have said they carried out the attack.

Kabul’s deputy police chief said the bomber was prevented from getting into the bus but still exploded his vest.

Security officials say there were at least two smaller attacks in the last 24 hours.

Earlier this month 21 Afghans and foreigners including UN staff and the IMF’s top official in the country were killed in an assault on a Kabul restaurant.
