Recently a small dog in Phoenix, Arizona was stabbed with a samurai sword during a home burglary.
It’s hard to imagine anyone inflicting pain on an animal. Unfortunately it happens all too often.
Recently a small dog in Phoenix, Arizona was stabbed with a samurai sword during a home break in. The residents, Kimberly Mims and her son were not home during the crime.
However when they returned at about 3:30 in the afternoon, they saw holes punched in the walls and discovered clothes and electronic equipment were missing. They also noticed edible and drinkable items from the pantry were thrown around the house.
Most traumatic of all, Mims found her beloved 3-year-old shih tzu with extensive stab wounds. The burglars reportedly found a samurai sword in the house and for whatever sickening reason decided to use it on the dog.
The canine had been in a kennel during the crime and posed absolutely no threat to them. Mims took her suffering pet to the veterinarian immediately, but the injuries were too critical.
The shih tzu, which Mims owned since puppyhood had to be euthanized. The big fear is that the suspect or suspects’ violent acts will escalate and the next victim will be a human. Police are pleading with the public for information.
