Vast parts of Bolivia continued suffering with torrential rainfall and overflowing rivers on Wednesday (January 29) with residents wading through waist-deep waters and losing their homes and livestock.
In Rurrenabaque, residents braved the torrential rainfall as they tried to leave their homes.
In the Cochabamba municipality of Cliza, 12-hours of continuous rain caused the river of the same name to overflow its banks, flooding homes.
In the capital of La Paz, the floodwaters dragged everything with it, including a car that went through the wall of one family's home.
According to the latest government report, over 40 people have been killed, some 24,100 families have been left homeless throughout the entire country, over 700 homes destroyed, and some 4,352 hectares of crops destroyed..
