A Spanish cargo ship breaks in two after hitting a sea wall off the southwestern coast of France Wednesday.

The vessel, called the Luno, was transporting fertilizer. It was hit by high winds following an engine problem, after the ship left port.

A dozen crew members were rescued -- with one reported injured.

Local media is reporting that France is raising a pollution alert after the accident.
