In a letter to the New York Times, Woody Allen denies he molested his daughter Dylan Farrow.

In the newspaper Allen writes that Dylan was "used as a pawn for revenge" against him by her mother.

Last week in the same paper Dylan wrote that Allen abused her in 1992 when she was seven years old.

But Allen alleges that Mia Farrow orchestrated the "smear" after discovering that he was having an affair with her other adopted daughter from a previous partner.

Allen began a relationship with Soon-Yi Previn when she was about 19 and they married in 1997.

In the article the Hollywood director said it would be "my final word on this entire matter", ending, it: "Enough people have been hurt."
