A private television station is reporting at least 103 people died when it crashed in a mountainous area in eastern Algeria.

It was carrying members of the armed forces and their relatives.

Officials say poor weather conditions and strong winds may have played a roll in the crash.

One person reportedly survived the crash, but the official death toll is still uncertain.
