Recently, Cirrustar have seen an ever-increasing use of wireless technologies to connect remote sites onto LANs & WANs. A Cirrustar RIPL solution eliminates the need for expensive carrier digs and the associated excess charges usually expected. Delivery is typically less than two weeks. The return on investment is usually under 18 months and the link hardware is owned by the customer not the carrier and therefore no lengthy contracts or cancellation charges can be applied unlike a fixed term service from a carrier.
RIPL provides a network link between two or more sites using either RF (Radio Frequency) or FSO (Free Space Optics) with data rates from 1Mbps to over 1Gbps depending on the technology used, distance and obstacles. The package includes: a survey which is free of charge to determine if a link is viable or not, installation services, radio or laser hardware, full project management, all H&S documents, installation reports and one year of NBD maintenance break fix cover.
Better than a carrier solution
All RIPL installs provide an unmatched SLA on reliability, based on uptime of the link Cirrustar are happy to boast 99.999% availability which is better than any of the carriers can offer. For most scenarios it is also by far the cheaper option. We only work with the market leading Vendors in their field and have a team of highly skilled installers that understand the importance of a quality deployment, even the cable used is from industry recognised suppliers. We leave nothing to chance to ensure the customer as a minimum gets the desired data rate and in most cases a little extra. Should the system be incapacitated, usually that involves either being physically moved, turned off or the configuration gets changed, then we are on hand to fix the issue within one working day under the NBD maintenance contract.
RIPL is inherently secure as default
Proprietary design ensures a non standards-based system, unlike WiFi which has numerous issues with standards based security holes. All RIPL systems are able to be used in the most secure networks including the MOD's manual Y and V, FIPS 140.2, GESG as required by local government agencies. The physical design also adds to the security of the link, narrow beam and directionally focussed antenna or lasers provide extra security, further reducing the risk of other radio interference affecting the network performance.
