Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Disgaea DS for Nintendo DS developed by Nippon-Ichi Software and published by NIS America.
Disgaea DS brings as much of the breakout hit Disgaea: Hour of Darkness as would fit on a Nintendo DS cart. Porting something like that from the PS2 (or in this, the PSP version) would normally be an exercise in futility, but this conversion maintains the most important parts of the experience: The tactical RPG action, the extensive game experience that last almost ten thousand levels, and most importantly, the absolutely deranged sense of humor that sees demon penguins used as bombs, and a dude who spends the game named "Mid-boss."
This video review features video gameplay footage of Disgaea DS for Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
