He had announced that corruption would not be tolerated in his party but Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi has sparked a political controversy by sharing the dais with tainted former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan. Rahul Gandhi, who is in Maharashtra for two-day tour, shared the dais with Chavan in Aurangabad. Ashok Chavan had been named by CBI in the Adarsh Housing Society scam and had to resign as the Chief Minister when the scam came to light. He was also indicted by the judicial commission which probed the scam.
