From the Japanese musical "Princess Raccoon" or "Tanukigoten." (She is actually not a raccoon but a tanuki or raccoon-dog.)

When Lady Hagi tells the prince that his father murdered his mother years ago, he leaves the forest of raccoon-dogs to seek out Sacred Mountain, where her spirit was banished.

Lady Hagi fails to prevent the lovestruck raccoon-dog princess from following the prince, and she runs straight into the clutches of his evil father.
