Woman stabs husband with squirrel

Views 7

A North Charleston, South Carolina woman stabbed her common-law husband with a ceramic squirrel after he failed to bring home beer on Christmas Eve.

Helen Ann Williams, 44, was really angry when her 41-year-old spouse came home empty-handed. He explained that the store he had gone to was already closed, but she wasn't having it. Reports said the police arrived at the couple's domicile around 12:20 Christmas morning, so if that's the case, one might conclude that the attack took place before that, which makes the hubby's story not implausible.

In any case, the husband went into the kitchen to make a sandwich and while he was there, Williams grabbed a ceramic squirrel figurine, hit him over the head with it, then stabbed him in the left shoulder.

There is no news on how this went down exactly. It is not known why the woman chose the decorative animal, nor has its size been reported. (Was it life-sized, or a whole lot bigger?) It has also not been explained how the woman was able to inflict so much harm on the man unchallenged.

The man ran to a neighbor's place to call 9-1-1. They arrived and found the man with blood on his face and a gash on his chest. Williams initially claimed that he had fallen, but the police were not convinced as she also had blood on her hands and clothes.
Williams was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. Her husband was treated at a local hospital.
