ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber was mobbed by photographers as he left Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday (April 24), after lengthy "secondary" questioning by immigration and customs agents upon his arrival from Japan.

It is not clear why the additional screening was necessary or if it was connected to Bieber's recent legal troubles.

The 20-year-old pop star has an upcoming trial in Miami for drunk driving and resisting arrest.

He has also recently been charged with assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto, and may be prosecuted for vandalism after he pelted a neighbor's house with eggs.
