An exhibition has opened at the Louvre in Paris featuring works of art due to go on display at a new sister museum in Abu Dhabi.

Inaugurated by President Hollande, the exhibition includes paintings, sculptures and Christian icons.

It’s hoped the new Louvre will enhance Abu Dhabi as a cultural tourism destination when it opens at the end of next year.
