I’m pleased to tell you about an upcoming event where more than 600 business leaders, investors, environmentalists and policy-makers will gather to learn and engage in conversations about accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy. The 2014 Ceres Conference themed “The Future is Now,” marks the organization’s 25th anniversary.

Wells Fargo’s Chief Administrative Officer Pat Callahan is one of the speakers for the Apr 30 – May 1 global sustainability conference in Boston and Wells Fargo is a lead sponsor. Pat will join a panel on May 1 about “Business Solutions for a Sustainable Global Economy” with Hannah Jones, Nike vice president of Business and Innovation, and moderator Jack Ehnes, Chief Executive Officer, California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS). She will discuss how Wells Fargo is integrating environmental and social issues such as climate change, diversity and inclusion, and product responsibility into its business strategy.

Pat is a passionate about helping Wells Fargo become a more sustainable company and even spends her personal time volunteering for several nonprofits that support sustainable initiatives, including the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California. As a member of the Center’s board of directors, Pat helps set direction for its important environmental work. The Center, a nonprofit organization, has rescued and treated more than 17,500 elephant seals, sea lions, sea otters, and other marine mammals stranded along 600 miles of California coast.

Check out this video of Pat and the work of the Center.
