Elton John serenades wealthy homebuyers

He might've been singing about The One, but those attending Elton John's concert on Wednesday were thinking about different numbers.

The exclusive concert was held for prospective buyers of the first part of a 3,500-home development plan for London's iconic Battersea Power Station.

Studio apartments in the new development are set to cost close to £1m and a four-bedroom home will cost around £4m.

Celebrities attending the show included Grace Jones, Pompeii and Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington and British Olympic diver Tom Daley and his boyfriend, 'Milk' screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

Developers were quiet on Elton's fee for the concert, though the 67-year-old singer has previously been reported to charge more than half a million pounds for a private show, with proceeds going to his charitable foundation.
