At least 15 people were killed after police fired tear gas in a crowded football stadium in the Democratic Republic of Congo, provoking a stampede, officials say.
Some 24 people were injured.
Fans in the capital Kinshasa were reportedly angry after their local team was defeated by a team from the eastern town of Lubumbashi in a heated final.
Officials say policemen then fired tear gas.
Fans, blinded by the gas, ran in different directions, sometimes falling over each other.
Stampedes are a frequent occurrence at crowded events in Congo.
Last month at least 21 people were killed in a stampede at a music festival.
