Don’t ever doubt the extreme love most twins feel for their siblings. In a heartwarming story, one twin decided to carry her injured sister across the finish line in a track meet.

13-year-olds Chloe and Claire Gruenke had both been competing in a state track meet in Illinois when suddenly Chloe felt a sharp pain in her leg. She tried to stay up to speed with the group, but once she hit her second lap, she couldn’t stand the pain and dropped to the track.

Claire immediately ran up to her to see if she was all right. Chloe told her she thought she pulled something in her leg. Once she heard that, Claire picked up her twin and carried her piggyback style as she ran, then walked around the track.

Right before they reached the finish line, Claire put Chloe down and told her to walk past it first. She refused to do that, and instead pulled her sister close so they could finish together.

Their coach, Ted Crail remarked “I've been coaching for 20 years. I've probably been to over 200 track meets. And it's the first time I ever had tears in my eyes.”

It seems the crowd agreed with that sentiment, as they loudly applauded and cheered the girls across the line. Although the sisters came in last, they walked away knowing they warmed the hearts of everyone around them.
