Passengers onboard a Boeing 767 on approach to Orlando-Sanford Airport got a nasty jolt on May 15, when the nose of their aircraft was struck by lightning during a storm cell.
Uploader Noel told Storyful: “We were onboard the flight from East Midlands to Orlando Sanford, and entered a severe thunderstorm on approach to the airport. We flew straight through a cell and after seeing quite a lot of lightning we were hit. I spoke to the pilot as we got off the plane and he said the lightning hit the nose of the aircraft.” Credit: YouTube/Noel Marsh-Giddings
