Libyan capital rocked by explosions overnight

A rocket attack in the Libyan capital killed at least two people.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) EYEWITNESS, MUAMMER FLEFEL, SAYING:

"Yesterday at midnight we heard explosions, so we rushed outside to see what was happening. We found out that our shops were burnt out, and we evacuated two wounded people."

Locals say the rocket landed in a southwestern district of Tripoli killing two African migrant workers and wounding two others.

The blast ended two days of calm after a weekend attack on parliament.

Libya, a major oil producer is struggling with chaos.

The militias who brought down Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 are defiant in the face of the country's weak central government.
