Victims were literally carved limb from limb, said the judge of the International Criminal Court as he today sentenced one-time Congolese militia boss Germain Katanga to 12 years in prison for his role in a brutal massacre of a village in 2003. Known as Simba, Katanga was convicted of war crimes back in March.
