Cebu City Zoo is allowing visitors to get a soothing massage, not by human hands, but by the skin of snakes.

On a trip to the zoo, you can expect to take in nice views of wildlife from a distance.

Now a zoo in the Philippines may be serving as a trendsetter, as staffers there are offering something new and quite radical. Cebu Zoo in Cebu City is allowing visitors to get a soothing massage, not by human hands, but by the skin of snakes.

Giant Burmese pythons have been given the job of massage therapist. The adventurous visitor lies down on a platform and keepers place the snakes right on top of their body.

Each one will reportedly last for 15 minutes and zookeepers make sure to feed the pythons 10 chickens right before the so-called rubdowns so they don’t get hungry and attempt to feast on the clients.

The huge snakes slither and knead across their human customers, allowing guests to feel every movement, even the flicks of the pythons’ tongues. Clients aren’t allowed to get up and run if the experience freaks them out halfway through.

They’re also not permitted to blow air towards the snakes or yell for help, as the vibrations from the sound could put the snakes in protection mode.
