Libya’s new Prime Minister Ahmed Maiteeq has escaped unhurt after unidentified gunmen fired grenades at his home in Tripoli. His guards are said to have killed at least one assailant.

It follows the swearing-in of Libya’s Islamist-backed government led by Maiteeq, who was appointed earlier this month in a contested vote in parliament.
