Popeye's in a fast food chain popular for it's "Louisiana Style Chicken" recipes (as opposed to it's rival KFC who's recipes used to be Fried Chicken and from a state known as Kentucky, but are now just C F'ed by K). Recently, their Chief Creative Officer started to get, well... creative. They're starting a chain of "trending flavored" chicken. The first is their take on chicken and waffles. It's not much of a surprise that Noah is not one of the new die hard fans of Popeye Chicken's new Chicken and Waffle Tenders. In essence, the concept is simple - take some chicken, batter it in waffle batter, deep fry the suckers, dip in maple sauce and nom nom nom. That being said, it's being made in some undisclosed factory and shipped in boxes to your local store. So, while we here at Tasted.com think this idea is BRILLIANT, it's still probably better if you just make it at home. The tenders themselves were not really the biggest highlights of this story to us it was: Popeye's Chicken Food Trucks? Chief CREATIVE Officer? Trending Flavor Combinations? Odd Flavor Proliferations?
There is so much potential for future horror stor... I mean, Food News.
