We've walked on beaches clean and pure they seem to cleanse, provide a cure
For all the ailments one seems to hide so very tight and deep down inside
Your tender spirit accompanied me we walked along but no one could see
That lovely person that strode along and made that moment in time a song
Your gentle hand entwined in mine our arms together your hair so fine
Your skin it glows in dimming light your beauty grows in pale moonlight
We stop to listen the sea is speaking we hear its' voice it seems it's saying
Stay here forever you won't be sad this must be the best you've ever had
But we know different yes you and I for we've been 'round this sea and sky.
We've been to Greece and Crete and Cyprus we've seen the Nile even Piraeus
Beaches in Italy the Italian Riviera the North Sea Beaches a large cliffed area
Though cold and damp you kept me warm with your love, your grace, your charm
The white cliffs of Dover, Zuder Zee at night, Panama City, in dawns dim light
Monterey Beach at Cannery Row oh how our hearts, their love did show
Walking at night in soft cool air we embrace and kiss, and linger there.
I whisper I Love You, no others for me you feel the same and that is the key
Yes we walked the beaches of time, yes we walked them but in my mind
I have walked them your spirit did too, you must have felt just one little clue
