Yesterday too were you in the vaster void…
Why are you today flying on and on,
O champion of work-lust, round the circle of knowledge?
Oh, in the tulsi-grove of this age is never found
your invented mathematics… but you in your own religion
has got yourself married
and appropriate words have clamoured without any protest
though you alone crowd all the pathways of the air.
I have known that you have already accepted
some of the turning waters
and it’s them you keep beside our dark temple.
