like a solitary bird
in rhythmic flight
across distant skies
i search
for my liberation.
like a lonely blossom
hungry for dewdrops
rare as april rain
i long
for my emancipation.
elusive freedom!
you bind me with chains
perennial as the grass.
but i weep no more
of ambivalent nights
and mornings without sunshine.
i fear no more
the passionate nightmares
and splintered emotions
borne by a curse.
like a whispering wave
anxious to kiss the shore
i shed
the quiet remnants
of a shattered vision.
i bid you adieu
o, oppressive one!
i want to fly
and keep on chasing rainbows
‘til there are none
left in the sky.
