We all of us have a mind in two parts
The conscious and subconscious each with their own set of smarts
The subconscious is embedded deep in our brain
Sometimes it comes up with a mistaken refrain

A refrain which repeats endlessly 'Drag on a smoke'
'Drag on it, drag on it, even if you choke'
It's quite obvious to see that the subconscious has lost the plot
But what of the conscious, will it follow behind in a trot

Or will it accept that the subconscious has got it wrong
And not believe that a circle could be an oblong
Will the conscious steer the subconscious onto the right road
Or follow it blindly, end up carrying a much heavier load
