except there is no third person

This flirting game has been going
on for months now
getting us no where

We are in English class
watching Of Mice and Men

Laughing it off
The strange thing about this whole
story

so when you ask again

or are you going to be playing these high school games
Hasn't anyone told to not break girls heart'
because they might have a little 'surprise' for you
