I arrived here on this earth,
Apparently by misdirection,
For I came into my own skin,
But I don't fit.
Nothing was right
From the beginning...
If someone said, 'go left...'
I went right.
Unable always to follow directions,
Unable to fit into my own clothes,
Unable to wear anything with 'style! '
Even unable to style my own hair!
I think someone messed up at the beginning,
And sent me into the wrong skin,
Into the wrong time...
Maybe even the wrong century?
I have always been like the old saying...
A day late and a dollar short...
My arrival was surely mistimed...
And I was sent to the wrong place!
Having searched all my life
For the right person I was supposed to be,
I have only just now found...
ME!
