Much Ado About Nothing
by Barbara Lynn Terry
I was just sitting there doing nothing one day
when I was told that we should be on our way.
I got up and shuffled my feet across the floor
I grabbed my coat and went out the door.
Where was I going? I had not a clue
but I will think of something to do.
I got on the bus and sat down
next to a child pretending to be a clown.
He made me laugh all through the trip
all the way to the docks and his ship.
I stayed on the bus not knowing what to do,
because what to do I hadn't a clue.
I racked my brain
as I waited for the train
because there is something
in much ado about nothing.
