A faith
that does not flicker,
despite
the growing convulsions,
of constant trials
and tribulations,
despite the festering twinge
of one’s blunders.

A faith
that does not
permit me
to think for a second
that You are indifferent,
unconcerned,
You do not dispense,
………..the fittest do
they sprint fast
they soar high
their accomplishments
each day multiply;

that You are not impervious
to my wails
and woes
that You are there
watching it all,
that the lesser mortals
like me,
You forgive,
and
You care for!
