A thousand times forgotten
Against me done a thousand crimes
I’ve been a thousand corpses rotten

You’ve given me a thousand deaths
And never once remembered
I’ve taken a thousand final breaths
Been one thousand times dismembered

Once you stabbed me with a knife
Directly in my heart
Once you used that very knife
And cut me all apart
Once you took an ancient sword
And with it took my head
Once you took a power chord
And choked me until I was dead

A thousand times you’ve buried me
A thousand times forgotten
A thousand times came to see
If yet my corpse had rotten
