Back in the old wagon train days
The people certainly had to be strong
The trails they blazed were amazing
And the days incredibly long

Their dreams were pure as they started out
Their minds were fresh and open
As they paved the way for the future
They had to find a way of coping

I’m proud of them, aren’t you?
It was a difficult way to live
But these people were the future
They truly had so much to give!
