Never expected you were divine,
Never claimed you as mine.
Just wanted my vision to see,
Man in nuclear clarity.
But the mirror reflected a beast,
Ripping its succulent feast.
When I nursed your wounds unsaid,
You lacerated mine instead.
Even beasts are gentler at core,
Humanity prevails no more.
