Southern Cross
A knight’s prayer
I kneel before you God, for words, I’m at a loss
My sword placed firmly in the ground, it forms the Southern Cross
Fill my heart with your compassion; make my sword, both swift and true
Forgive me lord, for the ensuing battle, and the things that I must do
I ask that you watch over us, and protect us with your grace
And should I fall in battle, I pray that, I shall gaze upon your face
I know that thru your guidance, my men and I are blessed
As I rise up from my knee, I sign, the Southern Cross upon my chest
Amen
