Ever notice how some people want to see
you the way
THEY want you to be,
taking a closer look at me,
you'll see
the bright smile and sparkling eyes,
yet I am a linked soul maintaining a depressant heart
that just dares to be exultantly free.

Having no one tell me what I can do,
I crave a different sortta life that is refreshingly new,
to cuddle up with a love that is honest and true,
I want to, but I can't see this kinda life in the future
without you,
it has yet to surface, yet to begin,
why,
I don't know why
for with love's game I can't ever seem to win?
