Society sees her as not quite right she does look a bit thin
For women in the modern World it does seem hard to win
Her sister than her much plumper is seen as over-weight
Yet even on the perfect woman there is a use by date.

A man who is quite over-weight scarce warrants a second glance
Though he looks heavy on his feet too heavy for to dance
But a woman who is over-weight will get a second stare
For most women in a modern World life must seem so unfair.

The company director a balding over-weight man tired of his ageing wife
He has a pretty secretary to brighten up his life
A pretty one in her early twenties for to look at every day
He would never think of hiring one with dye who cloaks her gray.

In a World where women must work harder than men in order to succeed
Good looks and youth and a good figure are things they also need
They must compete with other women for jobs and for success
Their balding ageing male bosses they must try to impress.

'Tis either too plump or too heavy Miss Right is hard to find
In the demanding twenty first century i pity human kind
And my heart goes out to the ageing woman the ageing male company director her will not hire
He needs a young and pretty secretary for to look at and admire.
