Discovering myself
All over again,
Making out why I am
Me,
Why I am different from other people,
Finding out what I take pleasure in,
Relearning my expectations and dreams,
Trying to find out what makes me tick,
Observing how I make friends,
Learning why music sets me free,
Training how to control my emotions,
To set my mask in place,
So they can’t tell what I’m thinking,
Wondering why I get random spurts of “happy”,
Realizing my favorite tastes and smells,
Exposing my Achilles’ heal for everything soft,
Detecting what makes me laugh
‘Till tears torrent down my face,
Trying to figure out,
Why I am
Me.
