With God as my witness
we shouldn't do this
screaming off of cliffs
the journey that you missed
light breaks the windows
as a knife moves in close
my words just froze
as you take a rose
destroying my pose
as I shatter your clothes
with a bleeding nose
and broken toes
I hold it together
so nobody knows
a rip is a tear
when you come up for air
death and despair
never could prepare
your tears lubricate my anger
pressing on an impressing stranger
I have no place
you don't recognize my face
I was last in the race
I couldn't keep the pace
cars crash into scars
as I burn with the stars
try to remember
I'm all that you've got
