Something overhead is rumbling
Clouds once white turn grey
Sounds like many rocks are tumbling
Coming down our way

White to grey now turning black
A sudden flash of light
Could it be a train on track?
As day turns into night

A hundred pachyderms colliding
Clouds can’t take the strain
Now the black one’s start dividing
Letting loose their rain

Every minute now its thunder
Lightening now the norm
Never more a need to wonder
It’s a violent thunderstorm
