Shall I compare thee to a starry night?
Thou art more intense and more glisten:
Rough winds do shake the sleek and vivid stars,
And starry night hath too short of a night:
Sometimes it’s too clouded to see the heaven,
And often its dazzling nature dimmed;
And from fair to fair its clear complexion will be alight,
By chance or nature’s changing course impassive;
But thy eternal starry night shall not wilt
Nor lose possession of thy starry night glow;
Nor shall death rant about thou,
When in eternal rhyme thou excel:
So long as souls can exhale and eyes can distinguish
So long live this and this give life to thee
