I never meant for this happen
I never meant to make you cry
All I really know is
I'm hurting deep inside

You weren't supposed to know
I wish you didn't care
'Cause all I can think is
I can't go on with life
This is too much to bear

But at the sight of your tear-stained face
I pause.
I wonder if you're the only one
Who would miss me if I were gone

Now there's no way
I could possibly end my life
Not while I sit here knowing
That it would cause all this strife

I guess I'll go on day to day
And just keep wearing
That fake smile
The one that brightens everyone's day
