Some 30 people have died as a result of two barrel bomb attacks on Aleppo in the north of Syria.
According to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, helicopters dropped the improvised explosives in the al-Sukkari neighbourhood.
At least one woman and two children were among the dead. With a number of people seriously injured in the attack, the death toll is expected to rise.
Western powers have condemned the use of barrel bombs as a war crime, but they continue to be used during Syria’s civil war.
