what do you want
to merely exist
ah this is the twist
to merely exist
in a world coloured gray
life lean and gaunt

or to live life in joy
in rainbows of colour
the world no more duller
than sun after rain
a life to enjoy
to live and not feign

an example to set
of worth not beset
with foolish pretense
to go forward hence

to live and to love
the past let go of
to shout and rejoice
in active loud voice
embracing this gift from above

believe, just simply believe
