Joel Parkinson came from behind to win the Oakley Pro Bali - the fifth of ten stages on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour.
Parkinson had been trailing Michel Bourez for long spells until a series of impressive forehand combinations saw him overtake the Tahitian late on.
That win marks Parkinson's first ASP WCT victory of the season and moves him up to third in the world rankings.
And with typical enthusiasm, Joel Parkinson expressed his delight with victory and the event -
SOUNDBITE (English) Joel Parkinson, Oakley Pro Bali winner:
"Amazing, amazing event to win. Such a great vibe. Great atmosphere around this whole event. The surfing was unbelievable so it's just an enjoyable event to be in."
The next stop on the tour will be in Tahiti between August 15 - 26.
