My heart belonged to music
Ever since I was a lad
I had my little radio
A gift bought by my dad

I used to be the trendy one
The hippest guy in School
I had my finger on the pulse
The songs that we thought cool

But behind my cool boy image
Was a woman you will know
Her lovely voice would ease its way
From out your Radio

Paul Berry is the lucky one
He hears her all the time
But week days for 2 hours a night
The lady is all mine

They have a dog called Carter
2 Children, Blue and fred
A brother known as Cheggars
Now Swap shops in my head

She loves her Sunday Cryptic
She longs to win the pen
But with her voice the ladies won
The hearts of boys and men

So Ill let her entertain you
And play for you a song
And for the life in radio
I thank you Janice Long

(I wrote this for a BBC Radio 2 presenter.)
