A few thoughts on one of my favourite pices: Handel's Dixit Dominus. The recording I am using as a reference: Coro della Radio Svizzera, Ensemble Vanitas, conducted by Diego Fasolis; on Itunes.
(I was dyeing my hair and eyebrows at the time, looking a lot like Groucho Marx: hence the shameless blurring...)
I hope this is somewhat educational/ inspiring?...
Anyhow those are my strong feelings about this piece, and how more people should experiment with various oratorio and opera pieces... Because it IS modern. Yeah; It is.
