The topic of vanity has been following Mark Wahlberg recently. The actor, who currently is starring in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," told GQ magaine that he no longer cared about his looks. Wahlberg said the statement was true, but that it wasn't the point he wanted everyone to focus on.
SOUNDBITE: Mark Wahlberg saying (English):
"I didn't want to make that statement. I don't ever want to make any statements other than 'do the right thing' and 'love one another'. But I just, I'm 43 years old. I wasn't like, 'oh, this is something that I really have to get across in this magazine and I want people to take notice, and hopefully they'll put it in bold letters as a quote'. I just, you know, I'm 43 years old and it is what it is. You know."
And speaking of looks, have you ever noticed that Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon share similar traits? Wahlberg said he's frequently mistaken for the Oscar-winning star, but takes it in good stride.
