Says it would not have been possible for Pakistan to play series against India without Big 4 status.

LAHORE (Dunya News/We Desk) - Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi on Monday said that Pakistan would have faced isolation in the world cricket without attaining ‘Big 4’ status.
Talking to the media at Lahore airport upon his return from Dubai, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi said it would not have been possible for Pakistan to play series against India without the recent breakthrough.
PCB on Friday announced that Sethi has been elected on the newly-formed, all powerful ICC Executive Committee (ExCo). “The ExCo comprises of five-member with representations from India, England and Australia besides two others, with Pakistan being elected as the fourth and the West Indies as the fifth member of the committee,” PCB said.
Sethi told reporters that instead of the ‘Big-3’, the five-member body has been formed to take key decisions of the ICC. He claimed that Pakistan would acquire ICC chairmanship next year.
He said that no country would ready to play in Pakistan if terrorism could not be controlled.
Earlier, The PCB said in a statement from Lahore that it had made extraordinarily gains at the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) annual meeting in Melbourne, which included the agreement with India.
