Andrew Lloyd Webber will be bringing one of his classic shows back to London's West End this festive season. 'Cats', which is based on T.S.Eliot's poetry, will be bounding back to the London Palladium with an all-new cast and an updated score.

SOUNDBITE 'Cats' composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, saying (English):

"I think it's just a great opportunity for us to get a second edition. I can't remember who it was who said 'Gentle reader, it's the second edition that counts' and I think with this show I think it would be great just to have a go at it again and give it a bit of a rethink."

The composer will change a couple of the poem's adaptations and producers and choreographers will bring the eighties classic up to the modern day. With a back catalogue of shows like 'Phantom of the Opera', 'Starlight Express', 'Evita' and 'Jesus Christ Superstar', is 'Cats' just going to be the first of a spate of updated Lloyd Webber classics?
